Bowdoin College Course Reviews
Co-Creator
A course review website to help students get the most out of their education.
Overview
My junior year of college, a classmate and I noticed that the student course review website was outdated and underused. The old design made it impossible to see aggregate data on a class or professor, and the review submission process was confusing enough to prevent students from contributing.
We built a new website using React, Typescript, and Python reaching over 75% adoption within a year of launch. Over 2,000 new reviews have been added (school population is ~1,800 students) and the site is still used daily.
I owned the site architecture, UX/UI, and frontend implementation. My classmate built the API, hosted the database on AWS, and integrated with Okta.
